Stephen has over twenty-five years’ experience in HR with an extensive education and work history in training and development, and employee relations. Stephen graduated from Wofford College with a degree in psychology, then did his masters work in industrial and organization psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. Stephen has worked with Greenwood Mills, RBC of America, Rockwell Automation, who was purchased by Baldor then acquired by ABB. Most recently Stephen came to KeyMark Inc. from Duke Brands. Stephen is proudly married to Elizabeth and has the honor of being dad to Harper and Sam, and father-in-law to Jonathan and Margaret. Oh, and Lucy his dog!

Love to spend time with my grandfathers.

What’s the most unusual place you have visited?

Eleuthera, Bahamas

What music do you listen to when no one is around?

You might find some country, blue grass or even an echo of Rappers Delight.

If you could tell the next generation one thing, what would it be?

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Yard work and/or woodworking

If you could go anywhere, right now, for 5 days all expenses paid, where would it be?

Anywhere with my bride!

What is your favorite quote, and why?

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain that which he cannot lose.” ― Jim Elliot and “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both.” Robert Frost. Why? I will leave this place with nothing, although I will gain everything. I pray I can bless others because they have what I won’t need. As for Frost’s poems two lines, this encourages me to find ways to travel both in some way even if I can’t actually walk them both.

Veterinarian

On a boat on the ocean (Bahamas or BVI/USVI)

Deep sea fishing and sailing around the Bahamas.

What’s the biggest life lesson you learned the hard way?

There are few things, that aren’t emergencies, that need me to rush.
