My First KeyMark GrillMasters Experience

My First KeyMark Grill Masters Experience.

All this week KeyMark has provided it’s employees with food.  With a week full of meetings and learning for the KeyMark Summitt 2014, it has also meant a week filled with hearty breakfast biscuits and delicious fruit, catered lunches from some of the best restaurants in town, and desserts that would make even a health nut rationalize having another.  But the best food this week was no doubt the Friday afternoon company cookout.

While enjoying my barbeque chicken, mac ‘n cheese, prosciutto salad, homemade jalapeno popper, and corn on the cob, I paused to ask Jim Hall (Grillmaster and director of cookouts), “How long did it take y’all to make all this?”

“Well we started cooking the barbeque 3 days ago and everything else we put together this morning.” Jim replied.  “Leah made the mac ‘n cheese, Vang made the salad, Stewart brought the chocolate cake, and Warren and I grilled.”

“Three days ago!,” I thought.   That’s dedication to a company cookout! But as I finished eating and sat around talking with my co-workers, I realized, well that makes sense.  That’s what you get at KeyMark.  Dedication. Hard work. Great food (and products). And a good time with good people.  Even being a new employee, it didn’t take me long to realize what this place was all about and why it works so well.  As I went back to my desk, I smiled, counted my blessings, and grabbed a piece of that chocolate cake!
